CTN Update: Staying Connected Over the Summer

news image

CTN continues to share our response related to the COVID-19 pandemic and supports public health measures to help keep our communities and citizens safe. Our commitment is to keep you updated with what’s happening to support the children, youth and families that we, along with our network partners, collectively serve.

What‘s happening?

  • CTN continues to use telepractice to deliver most services to children and their families where appropriate.
  • As the province reopens, we are following government and public health guidelines as we:
    • Start providing some in-person services that cannot be delivered virtually and require in-person support
    • Develop policies and procedures  to ensure everyone’s safety
    • Inform families that their in-person appointment will be different and what can they expect (e.g. screening questions, use of personal protective equipment like a mask, face shield, etc.)
  • We encourage families to stay connected with their child’s service provider if they have any concerns that require immediate attention. Our ACCESS and School Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS) teams are also available if families have any questions or need assistance. Our ACCESS team can be reached at 1-866-377-0286 for general inquiries or SBRS team at 1-877-972-7277 for SBRS related inquiries.
  • CTN’s neuropsychology team created a series of posts and additional resources to promote mental wellness as we navigate this time. Visit our website to read the most current post.
  • Our Information Fair is available online so families, caregivers and service providers can access information and resources conveniently about local services and supports. Visit our website to hear from public and private agencies and vendors for more information.

What’s next?
We recognize that families and caregivers are dealing with uncertainty about the school year ahead and things are shifting as the province continues to reopen. CTN continues to rely on updates from all levels of government and public health to guide our decision making. We’re also working closely with our partners in the health, education and community sectors as we develop our plans. We are committed to ongoing communication with all of you as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic together. Stay safe, take care and enjoy your summer!
