Celebrating Our Volunteers: Making a Difference Together

April 14th to 20th is National Volunteer Week.

As we celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week, we want to acknowledge all the incredible volunteers who play an important role in supporting CTN and making a difference in the lives of kids and youth with disabilities and developmental needs. These dedicated individuals are vital to CTN's efforts in providing diverse engagement opportunities to clients and families.

Over the past year, our volunteers have played a crucial role in supporting various inclusive family events organized by the Community and Family Participation Team. From the York Region Information Fair to holiday gatherings and March Break events, volunteers have been actively involved, offering invaluable assistance to attendee, and helping to support our vision of building a vibrant community where all kids, youth and families belong.

Our Family Advisory Committee, made up of CTN alumni and parents of CTN clients, has been instrumental in supporting our activities through their active involvement. We've also worked closely with family volunteers in an experience-based co-design process to improve the range of family support offered by the Community and Family Participation Program. The insights gained from this collaboration have been invaluable in enhancing the support provided to clients and families.

Looking ahead, we are excited about expanding our volunteer program and offering more meaningful opportunities within CTN. For more information and to apply to become a volunteer, please complete this Application Form. If you have any questions, please send an email to email volunteers@ctnsy.ca.

*Please note that CTN cannot support student placements in therapeutic fields at this time.

* We are happy to honor accommodations during any part of the application process and encourage you to inform us of any assistance you may require.
