Police say the attack, that claimed the lives of four family members and left only a nine-year old survivor, was allegedly motivated by hate. There is no place for Islamophobia, anti-Asian racism or hatred of any kind, anywhere at any time. And we must say, loudly and often: there is no room for hate. It is in speaking up, speaking out and collectively denouncing these acts of hatred, even when it feels uncomfortable to do so, that unites people of all faiths, racial or ethnic backgrounds or sexual orientation. It is important for CTN to do what it can to inspire positive action and it starts by leaning into instead of away from having conversations around the importance of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. At CTN, we are choosing to lean in.
