If you are a parent of, or work with a child, youth or young adult with special needs, mark Saturday April 25th in your calendar.

The CTN Special Needs Information Fair will be at the Holly Community Centre in Barrie from 1:00 - 4:00pm for a one-stop shop of info and resources including funding, private therapy services, transition to school and adult services, recreation programs, respite, and community support for families. This year's theme is "Inclusion" and is brought to you in partnership with CTN's community and network partner agencies.

We believe that the culture of inclusion means that every child and youth with varying abilities has the right to:

  • have fun
  • enjoy friends
  • function as they are
  • access fitness
  • join in family activities
  • plan for their future

Here are the Top 10 Reasons why you and your family should attend the Information Fair!
  1. Access information about camps and inclusive recreation, respite and adapted sports programs for children and youth.
  2. Connect with over 50 public and private vendors and community organizations, all under one roof.
  3. Find important information about funding services for children and financial planning for youth who are transitioning into adult services.
  4. Celebrate inclusion with demonstrations: wheelchair basketball, bikes, bocce ball and volt hockey.
  5. Visit our family "Coffee Chat” Room where parents can enjoy refreshments and chat with CTN Family Mentors.
  6. Receive a free CTN bag to hold all of the postcards, pamphlets and any other goodies you collect from our over 50 information fair tables.
