Early Intervention Services (EIS) – Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy in Simcoe County

There have been some recent changes impacting how Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physiotherapy (PT) services are provided for kids with disabilities and developmental needs in Simcoe County.

What Has Changed?

Effective January 1, 2025, CTN assumed responsibility for the administration of the OT/PT program. Our service partners Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) and Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) will continue to provide OT/PT services to kids with disabilities and developmental needs in Simcoe County. 

Families who are already receiving service will continue to work with the same therapy teams they know and are familiar with.  

What We Do 

• Delayed fine motor or upper extremity skills (such as reaching or grasping).
• Difficulties with activities of daily living (such as dressing, personal care or feeding self).
• Sensory or regulation concerns impacting participation in tasks.
• Eating concerns not related to chewing and swallowing safety.
• School readiness skill development.

• Delayed gross motor or movement skills (such as sitting or crawling).
• Toe walking.
• Torticollis (neck tightness on one side).   

• Support these services under the supervision of OTs and PTs.

Eligibility

• From birth up until school entry or their sixth birthday if school entry is delayed.
• Living in Simcoe County.
