Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
This live webinar is for family members and caregivers who want to learn more about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Common characteristics of ASD, possible strengths, needs, learning styles and profiles of persons with ASD will be introduced as well as effective strategies to support your child or loved one. Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Register This Foundational Family Service training is intended to assist families whose child is under the age of 18, and registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). This service is to assist families in supporting their child’s learning and development. The webinar is led by an Autism Consultant. Registrants will have the opportunity to participate in discussions and ask questions. Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorder will be delivered live via Zoom and the following is required to participate: • Mobile Device, Tablet or Computer • An internet connection • Speakers and a microphone • A webcam Ratio: maximum 25 participants and 2 staff Cost: there is no cost to participate Please Note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar. To be eligible, confirmation of OAP registration, completion of a Kerry’s Place Autism Services intake meeting and consent forms will be required. Please note: Foundational Family Services are available to persons under the age of 18, and their families, registered with the Ontario Autism Program. These services assist families in supporting their child’s learning and development.
