It is important to stay strong and healthy as a family caregiver of an individual with a developmental disability. With cold and flu season just around the corner what a perfect time of the year to learn what can weaken your immune systems. This workshop features guest speaker, Shawn Nisbet who is a registered holistic nutritionist, Master Nordic Pole Walking instructor, certified fitness consultant, cardiac technician and yoga teacher. She will provide many lifestyle and dietary hints from sleep to managing stress to eating healthier. You will learn how to strengthen your body’s natural defenses against harmful viruses and bacteria and how to build strong immune systems.
