Top 10 Reasons to Attend the York Region Inclusive Information Fair on September 23

If you are a parent of, or work with a child, youth or young adult with disabilities or developmental needs, join us for the free information fair in Richmond Hill.


Do you want to know about the programs and services offered for kids, youth and young adults with disabilities in York Region? Then join CTN and the City of Richmond Hill for our Inclusive Information Fair at Langstaff Community Centre. Drop-in from 12 to 3 p.m. to see over 50 public and private vendors and community organizations who specialize in programs, services and equipment for kids and youth with disabilities and developmental needs. This event is free to the public and no registration is required.

This is one-stop for information and resources including funding, private therapy services, transition to school and adult services, recreation programs, respite and community support for families.

CTN supports kids, youth and families by focusing on CanChild's framework of the F-words for Child Development. Every child with varying abilities has the right to have fun, enjoy friends, function as they are, access fitness, plan for their future and join in family activites.

Top 10 Reasons to Attend the Inclusive Information Fair on September 23:

  1. Access information about inclusive recreation, adapted sports, music and dance programs for kids and youth to enjoy fitness all year round.
  2. Learn something new from the over 50 public and private vendors and community organizations.
  3. Find important information about funding services and financial planning for the future.
  4. Bring the kids and let them enjoy the sensory room full of items to explore and help to get a break.
  5. Visit the Parent Networking Room where parents and caregivers can enjoy refreshments and connect with other parents.
  6. Learn more about CTN’s Equipment Loan Program and how your family can borrow therapeutic and recreation equipment to help with your child’s functioning.
  7. Receive a free CTN bag to hold all of the postcards, pamphlets and any other goodies you collect from our over 50 information fair tables.
  8. Bring your questions to see if local community organizations can help to reach your child’s and family’s goals.
  9. Learn more about CTN and how we work together with our service provider organizations to deliver important programs and services for kids and youth in York Region.
  10. Kids and youth can connect with each other throughout the day to make new friends and have fun!
