Central Local Health Integration Network (CLHIN) will discuss supports and services available, as well as, their eligibility criteria and referral process for both adults and children. Learn about funded services available for children and adults with various diagnoses and/or presenting medical issues. Led by the Centre for Behaviour Health Sciences Behaviour Clinic; Central Local Health Integration Network; and CHAP Registry/Respiteservices.com, this workshop will help you understand the services and supports that are available and how to navigate the process. Centre for Behaviour Health Sciences Behaviour Clinic will discuss their eligibility criteria and referral process, as well as, the bio, psycho, social model and how it pertains to clients with an intellectual disability. Individuals will learn how to cope with challenging situations, determine a crisis and establish whether behaviour can be explained. Participants will also learn some basic safety strategies and what to do if a situation escalates.
