Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers|Youth|Service Provider
A vocational program for young adults with developmental or physical disabilities, Autism, ADHD and/or mental health needs with an interest in being part of a farm operation. A group program to build a sense of responsibility, independence, pride and tangible farm and social skills. An evidence based and goal-oriented program developed from the care-farming model and facilitated by therapists. Care farming is the use of farms, agriculture and natural landscapes as a base for promoting mental and physical health. Care Farming is popular in other countries and has been highly successful in teaching life and farm skills to young adults while providing respite relief to families.
