Looking for inclusive and accessible summer fun for kids and youth of all abilities across Simcoe County and York Region? Then check out these CTN events brought to you by our CFCs.

Fun in the Sun (Beach and Park Days) - York Region and Simcoe County

Join CTN as we showcase accessible parks around York Region and Simcoe County. Snacks, drinks and activities will be provided.  No registration required.

Wednesdays in July and August
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Wednesday, July 17: Crosby Park- 161 Newkirk Rd., Richmond Hill 
• Wednesday, July 24: Christian Island- West Beach, 320 Megyaakwaa Miikan, Christian Island

Please note: CTN has partnered with Beausoleil Daycare Centre for this extra special day at the beach on Christian Island! Some extra special guests will be in attendance- henna, balloon and caricature artists, in addition to some great games, snacks and activities!

While the beach is not fully accessible, our Equipment Loan Coordinator will be on hand with recreation equipment to make this a memorable and inclusive experience for all our families to enjoy.

Simcoe Summer Youth Series

The Simcoe Summer Youth Series is designed for youth aged 12 to 18 to explore fun and inclusive programming throughout Simcoe County. It is also a great opportunity to meet other youth and caregivers.

• Tuesday, August 20: Circle Theatre Movie Night- Alliston  

Simcoe - Barrie Summer Bash

Join CTN and the students of the Georgian College Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Assistant program for a FREE summer party to remember! 

Kids and youth of all ages with disabilities and developmental needs are invited to enjoy various stations exploring fine motor and gross motor skills, sensory and even some fun with food.

York Region Summer Sport Series

Summer Sports Series events will allow children and youth with disabilities and developmental needs to try new sports in an inclusive environment.

• Tuesday, July 23: Rock Climbing- Reach Indoor Climbing (Aurora) 
• 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Drop-In)

 

• Thursday, August 1: Functional Fitness- Pivotal Functional Fitness (Stouffville)  
• Two times between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
