CTN inclusive and accessible Halloween events bring the fun of trick-or-treating to all kids and youth with disabilities and developmental needs, and their families.

Here are a few reasons why you should attend one or more of our inclusive and accessible Halloween events in Simcoe County and York Region. You can register for any of these events at the links below.

  1. Kids and youth can choose whether they want to wear a costume or not. Everyone is welcome!
  2. Kids and youth with mobility needs are easily able to knock on doors throughout the hallways of our sites.
  3. It’s a great opportunity to practice trick-or-treating before the big night on October 31.
  4. Kids and youth who want to skip trick-or-treating, can instead choose from other Halloween activities at some of our events, like arts and crafts, cookie decorating or pumpkin decorating, face painting, gym activities and more!
  5. Our sensory-sensitive environment allows kids and youth to feel more comfortable.
  6. Some of our events have non-edible treat offerings for those who have feeding differences or allergies. Here are some ideas for non-edible treats you can have at your house on October 31.
  7. Learn tips to help make trick or treating less stressful this year.
  8. Kids, youth and families can connect with each other and have an opportunity to make new friends!

Our vision is to create a vibrant community where all kids, youth and families belong. Our Community and Family Coordinators (CFCs) create and host events that promote belonging for kids and youth with disabilities and developmental needs, as well as their families.
