Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) builds brighter futures together for over 25,000 children and youth with disabilities and other developmental needs. Some of our clients have lifelong, complex disabilities and use equipment like wheelchairs to move around, while others need therapy to help them speak clearly.

Funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS), CTN provides an average of 81,000 service visits each year, which are delivered through public and private partner organizations in the health, education and community/social service sectors. Our 49 employees and 170+ contracted positions with 21 partner organizations proudly serve children and youth through CTN’s community and school based programs. We work across sectors to support families where they need it most – at home, school and communities. Collectively, we provide intake, service navigation and coordinated service planning; assessment and diagnostic services; specialized clinical and rehabilitation services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy, a family mentor program and inclusive events for children and families.

As a member of our Board of Directors you can expect to volunteer approximately 8-10 hours a month, share your leadership, expertise and governance experience at the board level and sit on one of our committees (Audit and Finance, Governance or Quality). As a community member on one of our committees you can expect to volunteer approximately 4 hours a month and share your expertise and build your governance experience.  Board and committee meetings typically take place in York Region and/or Simcoe County.

It is important that CTN’s board and board committees reflect the diversity of communities we serve. Lived experience as a person with a disability or family member of someone with disability or developmental needs is highly valued in this role. We are also looking for individuals with professional experience in any of the following areas: Health/Social Services, Finance and Change Management skills. Applicants need to have a strong commitment to CTN’s vision of building brighter futures together.
