CTN recently ran a contest for families to enter to win 1 of 10 spots to receive pampering from Glama Gal Tween Spa in Vaughan. Glama Gal provides full salon services, birthday parties, and monthly motivational workshops for girls in a positive and empowering environment. Glama Gal Tween Spa owners Josie and Laura reached out to CTN to host a parent and child mini-salon experience. They have previously provided services for families connected with SickKids, The Starlight Foundation and Make-A-Wish Foundation. During this special night for some mommies and their daughters, the guests received mini-facials (complete with cotton candy-scented masks and cucumbers), mini-manicures (with some fancy holiday colours) and fabulous glitter tattoos. Our CTN families got to know each other better while they sipped mock “pinktinis”, ate pizza and enjoyed delicious cupcakes. What a great evening of new friendships and quality time with our girls. The moms had had so much fun together, so we decided to all have the same nail polish colours with accent party nails! Abby, mom The staff was so patient and hospitable. One staff member stayed with a little guest who wanted to count and line up cupcakes rather than get her nails done.
