CTN kids and youth are invited to take part in a special land acknowledgement video that reflects our ongoing commitment to truth and reconciliation. Participants can contribute by submitting a short video of themselves reading CTN’s Land Acknowledgement. We welcome kids of all abilities and communication styles! Communication devices, verbal speech, sign language or any kinds of communication are welcome. If a child prefers to submit a video of themselves enjoying a favourite activity that celebrates and connects them to the land where they live, learn and play, we would love to see it. Caregiver voices are welcome too! The video will feature kids and youth reading CTN's Land Acknowledgement and will be shared on CTN's website, at meetings and events in line with our Land Acknowledgement guidelines. About Land Acknowledgments A land acknowledgement recognizes that Indigenous Peoples are the traditional custodians of the land and honours their enduring connection to it. It helps us learn about the history of the place where we live and encourages us to think about how we can support respect, understanding and reconciliation. Our goal is to create a land acknowledgement that represents the diverse kids, youth and families we serve and advances our commitment to truth and reconciliation.
