This event is for kids and youth with disabilities and developmental needs 7 to 21 years of age and their support person or caregiver. No prior experience is necessary (this event is for families who have not previously attended a CTN/ AIM adaptive paddling event). Each person will be assessed, and a suitable boat and any necessary adaptive equipment will be included. Participants will enjoy a 60-90 minute paddling experience in small groups, with their support person or caregiver and Abilities in Motion staff and volunteers to support this. Date: August 20th, 2025 Time: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Location: Morgan Russell Memorial Arena & Community Centre- 1354 Killarney Beach, Lefroy ON (just outside Innisfil) About the Event: his event is intended for children and youth ages 6–14 who have a disability and/or developmental need that impacts their ability to learn how to ride a bike. It is also open to any child or youth who uses, or would like to try, an adaptive bike. This session focuses on learning bike-riding strategies in a fun, supportive environment. Kids/youth participating must meet the following criteria:
have a disability/developmental need
be willing and able to wear a properly fitted helmet (CTN has a limited supply of helmets for use)
must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who is willing and able to assist staff

This workshop will take place in an indoor, temperature- controlled environment. A limited number of helmets and knee/elbow pads will be available for use. Adaptive bikes will be available on-site to try and use. If an adaptive bike is not needed, participants are asked to bring their own bikes and helmets.
