June is a time to reflect, learn and celebrate the diverse communities that enrich our lives and shape a more inclusive future. One meaningful observance this month is National Indigenous History Month, a time to recognize and honour the history, heritage and ongoing contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples across Canada.
Throughout June, we invite you to take part in celebrating the vibrant culture and traditions of Indigenous communities. It’s an opportunity to listen, learn, and engage with stories that span generations-stories of strength, resistance, and renewal. June 21st marks National Indigenous Peoples Day, a day dedicated to recognizing the unique cultures, histories and contributions of Indigenous peoples. It’s a moment to honour their leadership, resilience and the vital role they continue to play in shaping our communities. Get involved Everyone has a role to play in supporting reconciliation and building a deeper understanding of Indigenous heritage. Here are a few ways to participate meaningfully this month and beyond.
