Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) has implemented a new Shared Client Record (SCR). For many years, the SCR, which is a secure, digital record of a child’s health and service information, has helped connect service providers across health, community and education settings. The new system allows for enhanced communication, collaboration and integration among service providers to improve access to information to support the needs of kids, youth and families. We remain committed to being responsive to the needs of families. The transition to our new system may slightly impact our response times during this transition. Thank you for your patience as our teams adjust. Your privacy is always a top priority. CTN is committed to protecting clients’ and families’ privacy and managing personal health information in accordance with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Only authorized individuals who are directly involved in a child’s services or supporting a child’s services will have access to the child’s health record. Personal health information and personal information is used only for the purpose of providing care, and/or assisting with the provision of care and is kept secure at all times. If you have any questions about this change or how CTN handles personal health information, please contact the CTN Privacy team at privacy@ctnsy.ca by phone at 1-866 377-0286 ext. 2870.
