Better Together: Volunteer Board Positions Available

Champions wanted! Help CTN strive for excellence to support the development and well-being of kids, youth and their families. Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) invites you to apply as a volunteer Director of the Board or Community member.

Our exceptional volunteer board use their lived experience, leadership and professional expertise to make a difference for over 26,000 kids and youth with disabilities and developmental needs and their families. Our innovative network model, which operates through service contracts with public and private partners in the health, education, community and social service sectors, makes governing our organization a unique experience.

As part of our commitment to equity, diversity, inclusivity, Indigeneity and accessibility, our goal is a governance structure that reflects the communities we serve. We invite all qualified applicants to apply including individuals with disabilities, those who identify as Black, Indigenous or persons of colour, members of the LGBTQ2S+ community, those with lived experience as a family member of an individual with a disability and others.

Skills and Qualifications:    

  • Finance expertise and an accounting designation
  • Experience in the community-based human services sector
  • Knowledgeable in policy, equity, diversity, inclusion practices
  • Previous board experience and/or interest in governance
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Not employed by or in a contracted role with CTN or a formal associate including child, spouse/common-law partner of a CTN employee
  • Not serving as a board member of a CTN contracted service partner organization

Expectations:

Board Member -
  • 3-year term of office
  • Volunteer 5 hours a month
  • Participate in board and committee meetings
  • Share your leadership, expertise and governance experience at the board level
Community Member -
  • 1-year term of office
  • Volunteer 3 hours a month
  • Share your expertise
  • Build your governance experience at committee meetings

About CTN:
Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) supports over 26,000 kids and youth with disabilities and other developmental needs. We provide intake, service navigation and coordinated service planning, assessment and diagnostic services, specialized clinics and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy. CTN also provides and supports access to some autism services and is a member of the York Simcoe Autism Network. ​

​Funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, CTN offers services through contracted partner organizations in the health, education, community and social service sectors. Through its network model, CTN’s commitment to providing family-centred care is anchored by an electronic client record that is shared across its partner organizations and provides the foundation for integrated plans of care and services.
