Volunteer Board Position Available: Simcoe County Based Health or Social Services Leader

Are you a Health and/or Social Services leader living or working in Simcoe County? Do you have a strategic mindset and a commitment to effective, transparent and respectful dialogue?


If so, and you are looking for an opportunity to use your sector expertise and exceptional leadership skills to make a difference in a child’s life, Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) invites you to apply as a volunteer Director of the Board.

In addition to this board position, CTN is also looking for community committee members from across our catchment areas of York Region, Simcoe County and Toronto to join our Audit & Finance and Quality committees.

Our board and community members champion the importance of exceptional board leadership and use their expertise to make a difference for over 23,000 children and youth with disabilities and developmental needs and their families. Our innovative network model, which operates through service contracts with public and private partners in the health, community and education sectors, makes governing our organization a unique experience.

Living or working in Simcoe County, possess expertise and experience in the Health and/or Social Services sector.

Requirements:

  •     3-year term of office
  •     Volunteer 5 hours a month
  •     Sit on one board committee (Audit & Finance, Governance or Quality)
  •     Share your leadership, expertise and governance experience

Community Committee Member (read more here):
Skills and Qualifications:

Individuals with a diverse professional background looking to build governance experience.

Requirements:
  • 1-year term of office
  • Volunteer 3 hours a month
  • Sit on one board committee (Audit & Finance or Quality)
  • Share your expertise

In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities, board and community committee members are advocates and ambassadors for the organization. Serving as a CTN board or community committee member is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about leadership and governance and wants to contribute to building brighter futures for children and youth with disabilities and developmental needs and their families.
