Are you looking for an opportunity to use your exceptional skills and leadership to make a difference in a child’s life?

If so, Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) invites you to apply as a volunteer Director of the Board or Community member.


Our volunteer board and community members champion the importance of exceptional board leadership and utilize their expertise to make a difference for over 25,000 children and youth with disabilities and developmental needs and their families. Our innovative network model, which operates through service contracts with public and private partners in the health, community and education sectors, makes governing our organization a unique experience.

CTN’s vision of building brighter futures together includes everyone. As part of our commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility, our goal is a governance structure that reflects the communities we serve. We invite all qualified applicants to apply including individuals with disabilities, those who identify as Black, Indigenous or persons of colour, members of the LGBTQ2S+ community, those with lived experience as a family member of an individual with a disability and others.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possess expertise and experience in the Health and/or Social Services, Communications and Marketing or Finance sectors
Requirements:

Board Member (read more here)
  • 3-year term of office
  • Volunteer 5 hours a month
  • Sit on one of three committees (Audit and Finance, Governance or Quality)
  • Share your leadership, expertise and governance experience at the board level
Community Member (read more here)
  • 1-year term of office
  • Volunteer 3 hours a month
  • Share your expertise
  • Build your governance experience

In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities, board and community members are advocates and ambassadors for the organization.

Serving as a CTN board or community member is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about leadership and governance and wants to contribute to building brighter futures for children and youth with disabilities and developmental needs and their families.

About CTN:
Funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, CTN offers services through contracted private and public partner organizations in the education, health and community sectors. Collectively, we provide intake, service navigation and coordinated service planning, assessment and diagnostic services, specialized clinics and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy.

CTN’s commitment to providing family-centred care is anchored by an electronic client record that is shared across our partner organizations and provides the foundation for integrated plans of care and services.
