COVID-19: CTN's Response and Operations

news image

CTN has been closely monitoring and planning based on the recent developments relating to COVID-19. CTN will be temporarily closed on March 17 until April 6, 2020.

The health and safety of the children, youth and families we serve, our employees, partners and other stakeholders is the driving force in our decision making. With the information we currently have available, CTN will be temporarily closing to align with efforts to slow down the spread of the virus. This means:

  • CTN will not require partner service providers to provide clinical services on CTN’s behalf.
  • Our employees will stop coming to work during this period, but individuals in certain roles may be asked to provide support as needed.
  • CTN’s sites will be closed to employees, providers, volunteers, families and other visitors. Many of CTN’s sites are in locations shared by more than one agency. The building may be open for those agencies; however CTN space is closed and should not be accessed.

We expect these measures to be in place from Tuesday, March 17, 2020 until Monday, April 6, 2020, and will adjust plans based on what happens over the next several weeks.

CTN will continue key corporate operations like payroll, communications, IT, privacy/health records and CTN’s COVID-19 response.

CTN’s network model involves service partnerships and collaboration with organizations in the health, education and community and social service sectors. Partner agencies provide clinical services on CTN’s behalf. Each of our partners will make decisions on which clinical services will continue during this time and which will not.

If you have any questions about CTN services, please contact us on April 6th via our ACCESS line at 1-866-377-0286. For questions about school based rehabilitation services, please call 1-877-972-7277. Messages that are received during our closure will be returned when CTN resumes regular operations. However, CTN will continue to monitor messages that require a response prior to April 6th.

Since a number of the children, youth and families we work with are especially sensitive to health issues, we hope our actions help support their health and wellness and that of the general public. Our website, Facebook and Twitter will be updated on a regular basis and we encourage everyone to stay connected with CTN. For updates on COVID- 19, we encourage you to get accurate information from trusted sources such as the Ministry of Health, Public Health Ontario, the Public Health Agency of Canada and the World Health Organization. Please continue to practice good hand hygiene, social distancing, avoid people if you are experiencing any kind of illness and follow directions shared by public health authorities.

Our goal is to help keep people healthy and safe and we appreciate your support and flexibility as we make decisions during this time.
