CTN Update: Our Services

news image

On Thursday, the Premier’s announcement focused on the first stage of the gradual opening of businesses and services throughout the province, as long as they could meet public health and safety requirements.

As part of stage 1, the government is gradually permitting services delivered by health professionals such as speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and board certified behaviour analysts. Services delivered by these professionals may resume if specified pre-conditions are met, and provided they operate in compliance with advice, recommendations and instructions of public health officials.

CTN is proud to be part of a network with partners in the health, education and community sectors who are dedicated to supporting children and youth with disabilities and other developmental needs. Collaboratively, we have been offering some services virtually over the past several weeks. The government is encouraging us to continue virtual and alternative service models, where appropriate.

As we plan for resuming in-person services we expect to take a phased approach. We will follow the guidance of public health authorities and ensure our services can adapt and respond as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves. We will work collaboratively with our partner agencies to determine how we can deliver services effectively and safely, including considerations related to our physical space and personal protective equipment (PPE).

CTN’s commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of the families we serve, our employees and our partners is our primary focus. We will continue to take a thoughtful and measured approach for the future delivery of services. We will be agile and leverage the innovative spirit that is part of our network’s fabric.

If you have any questions about services and supports for children and youth with disabilities or developmental needs, or the services available using virtual technology please contact your service provider or call CTN directly. We would be happy to answer your questions or direct you to appropriate community resources. Contact CTN’s ACCESS team at 1-866-377-0286 for general inquiries or School Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS) team at 1-877-972-7277 for SBRS related questions.

Thank you for your support and patience as we navigate through this pandemic together. Our commitment is to keep you updated with what’s happening to support the children, youth and families that we, along with our network partners, collectively serve. As we head into our first long weekend of the season, we wish you all a very happy and safe holiday.
