On March 11, 2019, the provincial government provided an update that gave information on Enhancing Education Support: A Plan for Students with Autism. Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) is funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. However, most of the children, youth and families served by CTN through our partner agencies also attend school, which is why the announcement from the Ministry of Education is important. We know it is essential for our families and clients to access factual, up-to-date information about programs and services that are provincially funded. We encourage clients and families to stay updated on what is happening with the Ministry of Education via their website and specifically their Supporting Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder page. If you have questions about your child’s school experience we encourage you to connect with your child’s teacher or school administrator. For information on community supports and services please connect with CTN via our ACCESS team at 1-866-377-0286.
