Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
Adapted from the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® (NVCI) training program offered through the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), this session will help participants recognize and respond early to signs of anxiety and/or distress, implement supportive verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and appropriate de-escalation strategies, and manage their emotional responses during challenging situations. Kerry's Place - Family Support Group for Caregivers: Girls on the Spectrum - (Online)
This family support group uses topic-focused conversations, and provides caregivers the opportunity to share successes, discuss challenges, and gain insight from other parents and caregivers of Autistic children and youth.

This workshop provides participants with an understanding of the financial supports available for their child or youth in Ontario.
