Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
This month, our guest will be Sue Walters, a Family Peer Mentor from Your Services Support Network (YSSN) to discuss school advocacy. This session is intended for families who already have a basic understanding of the school system and the IEP process. The focus will be on navigating challenges and exploring advocacy strategies when initial conversations with school staff and/or requests for support have not led to the desired outcomes. Join us for an interactive Foundational Family Service designed to support caregivers through open discussion and practical learning. This session features a guest speaker who will share professional insights, answer questions in an open forum, and provide general strategies to help families navigate their child’s developmental and learning needs. Date: Thursday, October 15, 2026 Time: 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. For more information and to register for the event, click here.
