Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
This is a welcoming, judgment-free space to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with other families navigating similar challenges. Common topics include receiving a new diagnosis, feelings of overwhelm or grief, starting school, toilet training, and accessing funding. New members are always welcome—this is a supportive group that generously shares information and resources. The group is hosted by team members from Family Peer Mentors and DS Access Starting the Journey is a monthly online chat and support group for parents and caregivers of children aged 8 and under who have been diagnosed with autism or a developmental disability.
