Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers|Children|Youth|Service Provider|Volunteers
This program is centered on fostering a love for dance and dancers are welcome to engage in the class in a way that feels right to them.
Each class is led by an NBS Community Dance Educator and supported by a live accompanist. We offer 4 streams of programming with ten classes, spanning from primary grades to adult.
Family Creative Movement and Music Ages 3-5: This program stream is a chance for the dancers and their grown-ups to participate in dance classes together.
Stream 1 - Creative Movement 1 Ages 5+ - Adult: This program stream provides 1:1 support throughout the class and moves at a slower pace.
Stream 2 - Creative Movement 2 Ages 5+ - Adult: This program stream provides a 4:1 ratio, and is a moderate-paced class and a good fit for dancers who are both ready and working towards two-step instructions and participating independently in programming.

The NBS Adaptive Dance Program was created by Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS),in consultation with Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and offers adapted creative movement classes for dancers ages 3-adult with diverse physical, developmental and sensory needs.
