Caregiver Workshop: From Awareness to Action with AAC is a two-session workshop that is designed to support caregivers in developing a deeper understanding of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
The first session will provide foundational information about AAC, including its purpose, types of systems, and strategies to promote communication across settings. The second session will offer a hands-on opportunity to explore various low-tech AAC tools and learn practical ways to implement them in daily routines. Participants will gain knowledge, confidence, and strategies to support their child’s use of AAC. This workshop is facilitated by a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist.
