Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
This 90-minute webinar is intended for caregivers who would like to learn about de-escalation strategies to use when supporting children, youth, and family members in distress. Caregivers will be provided with an overview of the verbal and non-verbal strategies taught in the Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI-CPI) training program. Note: this is an informative workshop only and does not provide certification to parents. The event is part of YSSN's OAP-Foundational Family Services, for families/caregivers with children and youth (up to age 18) with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and who are registered with The Ontario Autism Program (OAP).
