Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
This 2 ½ hour workshop is intended for family members and caregivers who would like to enhance their skills in managing crisis situations, and learn about de-escalation techniques. Participants will be provided with an overview of the verbal and non-verbal communication concepts and strategies taught in the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® (NVCI) training program that can help in the support and care of family members, or people they support, with Autism, both at home and in the community. Please note that participants will not receive a certificate of completion, or become NVCI certified. As a result of participating in this workshop, participants will be able to:
