Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
Parents or caregivers of children or adults with autism and interested service providers are invited to join noted Occupational Therapist, Paula Aquilla, in exploring the intersection of Autism and Mental Health through a sensory processing lens. To understand the overlap between sensory processing and mental health, a brief overview of the neurology involved will be reviewed. Case studies will provide the structure to learn strategies that can support the nervous system to process sensation more efficiently and maintain regulation in the nervous system to support optimum quality of life.
