Ringette is a safe, and fun ice sport, similar to hockey. I'm writing today to introduce a program new to the GTA to ensure this is a sport where everyone has a place! On January 17th, Markham Ringette will host a free come-try ringette event for those of all abilities, ages and skill levels. For more details: - NO prior skating skills are required - Bring a pair of skates and a CSA-approved helmet, and we will provide the rest - 1 on 1 support is offered if needed Ringette for All is a program, offering youth with cognitive and physical disabilities the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of ringette and develop life skills in an inclusive, safe, and fun environment. Whether participants have mobility impairments, are on the autism spectrum, or have other developmental or physical challenges, the program offers a tailored experience that allows them to enjoy the sport, stay active, develop skills, and build self-confidence. Event details: Date: Friday, January 17th, 2025 Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. For more information and to register, click here
