Who should attend? Youth
Autistic young adults (16+ yrs) are invited to come out for a fun evening of pottery painting in Crock A Doodle’s bright and cheerful studio. This special place allows us to connect with others, relax, socialize, share stories, and have FUN! You will have an opportunity to get creative with some colours and paint a coffee mug of your choice. Registration includes a coffee mug to paint, and the final baking and glazing of your coffee mug. Kerry's Place - Caregiver Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) - Online
Adapted from the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® (NVCI) training program offered through the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), this session will help participants recognize and respond early to signs of anxiety and/or distress, implement supportive verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and appropriate de-escalation strategies, and manage their emotional responses during challenging situations.
