Using shared hobbies and interests, this Foundational Family Services group offers teen siblings, aged 13-17, who have Autistic siblings the opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences. Group members will have the opportunity to learn more about ASD, and ways they may support their siblings. This month’s topic will be "Halloween". Kerry's Place - Caregiver Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) - Online
Adapted from the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® (NVCI) training program offered through the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), this session will help participants recognize and respond early to signs of anxiety and/or distress, implement supportive verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and appropriate de-escalation strategies, and manage their emotional responses during challenging situations.
