Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
This workshop is intended for family members and caregivers who would like to enhance their skills in managing crisis situations, and learn about de-escalation techniques. Participants will be provided with an overview of the verbal and non-verbal communication concepts and strategies taught in the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® (NVCI) training program that can help in the support and care of family members, or people they support, with Autism, both at home and in the community. Please note: Participants will not receive a certificate of completion, or become NVCI certified. As a result of participating in this workshop, participants will be able to:
