Who should attend? Youth
Sibling Hang is an online group for adolescent-aged siblings of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), offering opportunities to interact with others who may share similar experiences, questions, and interests. Participants will learn more about ASD, and ways they may support their sibling. Participants may share their experiences in a supportive, informative, and social forum on a monthly basis, and develop new relationships. This month’s topic will be “Back to School - Tips and Tricks”. Thursday, August 25th, 2022 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Register Ratio: 9 participants and 2 staff Cost: there is no cost to participate Sibling Hang will be delivered live via Zoom for Professionals and the Zoom link will be e-mailed out by Kerry’s Place one business day before the event start. To participate in the event, the following is required: • Mobile Device, Tablet or Computer • An internet connection • Speakers and a microphone • A webcam Please Note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar. To be eligible completion of a Kerry’s Place Autism Services intake meeting and additional documentation may be required to attend Foundational Family Services (FFS) are available to persons under the age of 18, and their families, registered with the Ontario Autism Program. These services assist families in supporting their child’s learning and development. Adapted Gymnastics is a class for just adaptive athletes who have a broad spectrum of disabilities and severities. They will be partnered with a 2:1 coach.
Kerry's Place (FFS) - Autism: Beyond the Diagnosis - Online
This 2½-hour workshop teaches parents and caregivers strategies and tools to help their children and youth understand their diagnosis, using a strengths-based approach.
