Friends 4 Kindness would like to host a GROUP buddy program for individuals who struggle with friendships and are feeling alone. We have teen aged volunteers who will meet with the participants as a group in 3 age categories. Ages 13-17 (Max 10 participants) Tuesdays, March 2 - June 22, 2021 4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. Register The purpose of the group is to create a buddy program where the individuals all hang out together over a zoom meeting once a week! We are hoping that we can build friendships among the participants so that the pandemic will feel a little less lonely and isolating for them. They will discuss their weeks, their favourite things etc. The volunteers will engage the participants in conversations over a Zoom meeting every week. We have limited room for participants due to the number of volunteers. This program is new for Friends 4 Kindness but if it runs smoothly, we are hoping to add more volunteers and participants in the future. We are asking participants to register for the program so we can create a waiting list. Please answer all the questions about the participants favourite things so that the volunteers can engage them more during the program! The Program is free! But due to the limited space, we ask that you commit to the weekly meetings as this will be more successful if the participants see the same friends every week! Participants will receive an email every Sunday evening with the Zoom link for that week. We will be creating a new link every week for safety reasons. Please do not share this link as we can only include the registered participants. We are so excited and looking so forward to our buddy programs!!
