Who should attend? Youth
Conversation Club is aimed at enhancing participants’ conversation skills, such as initiating and maintaining conversations, participating in group discussions, and connecting with peers. These groups are appropriate for children and adolescents who could benefit from social skills support with their daily interactions. Session 3 (Entering Grades 9 to 12): Thursdays from July 8 – August 26, 2021 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Register Group Information Duration: 60 minutes Length:8 weeks Cost: $512.00 CAD* *Check with your insurance provider for coverage Group programming is based on the well-established Social Thinking® curriculum. Sessions will include role-playing, use of videos, and other activities to practice conversational-based social skills. This group is facilitated by a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist and will take place over Zoom. A complimentary pre-group screening is offered to determine group appropriateness. King City - Adapted Gymnastics (Pulsars Gymnastics Partnership) - York
Adapted Gymnastics is a class for just adaptive athletes who have a broad spectrum of disabilities and severities. They will be partnered with a 2:1 coach.
Kerry's Place (FFS) - Autism: Beyond the Diagnosis - Online
This 2½-hour workshop teaches parents and caregivers strategies and tools to help their children and youth understand their diagnosis, using a strengths-based approach.
