Kerry's Place- (FFS) Don't Stand So Close to Me - Online

About event:

Keeping your distance is important during this time, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. We can teach you safe, but fun ways, to keep a distance from friends whether you’re in person or on a virtual platform. You will leave this training with safety habits and fun activities you can share with friends and family.

This Foundational Family Service (FFS) is intended to provide persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), aged 13-17 and who are registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), information regarding strategies to support socializing with peers, while maintaining an appropriate distance. Depending on the person’s skill level with technology, a mediator may be required to attend the session to assist as needed. This webinar is led by an Autism Consultant or a Behaviour Therapist.

This webinar is limited to youth between the ages 13-17, who are registered with the OAP.

Don't Stand So Close To Me will be delivered live via Zoom for Professionals and the following is required to participate:

• Mobile Device, Tablet or Computer
• An internet connection
• Speakers and a microphone
• A webcam

Please Note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar. To be eligible, confirmation of OAP registration and completion of a Kerry's Place Autism Services intake meeting and consent forms will be required.

Foundational Family Services are available to persons under the age of 18, and their families, registered with the Ontario Autism Program. These services assist families in supporting their child’s learning and development. Cancellation Process:

Cancelled by Kerry’s Place: Kerry’s Place may cancel a program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, participants will be notified as quickly as possible and attempts, within reason, will be made to help the attendee enroll in a new session.

Cancelled by Supported Person/Family: For the purposes of effective planning, when possible, Kerry’s Place appreciates 5 business days’ notice of cancellation before the start of the workshop/training.
