Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
This live webinar is intended for family members and caregivers who would like to enhance their skills in managing crisis situations, and learn about de-escalation techniques. Participants will be provided with an overview of the verbal and non-verbal communication concepts and strategies taught in the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® (NVCI-CPI) training program that can help in the support and care of family members, or people they support, with Autism Spectrum Disorder, both at home and in the community. This Foundational Family Service (FFS) training is intended to assist families whose child is under the age of 18, and registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). This service is to assist families in supporting their child’s learning and development. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Register here The webinar is led by NVCI trained facilitators. Participants will have the opportunity to join in discussions and ask questions. Caregiver Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI-CPI) will be delivered live via Zoom and the following is required to participate: • Mobile Device, Tablet or Computer • An internet connection • Speakers and a microphone • A webcam Ratio: maximum 40 participants and 2 staff Cost: there is no cost to participate (Participants will not be certified) Please Note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar.
