Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers|Children|Youth|Volunteers
It can be hard to connect with other parents who do not have a child with special needs, even with other parents we consider a friend. It can be even harder when strangers we pass on the street or in the grocery store look at us and our children with judgment. There may be times you feel like no one understands your struggles! Let’s chat about that. Research has shown that caregivers of children with autism experience challenges that can lead to stress and isolation. Finding the time to care for your own physical and mental well being, meet others, and speak about your experiences can be challenging. Facilitated by our social worker, our caregiver support group aims to empower caregivers of children with autism by creating a safe space where you can share your experiences, as well as gain understanding and support from other caregivers with similar experiences. Date: October 28th 2020 Time: 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Click Here to Register by October 26th The support group is free of charge!
