Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
Exploring The Pathways Beyond The Teen Years Which way do I go? Where do I start my journey? How can I help my teen get ready for adulthood? This Foundational Family Service (FFS) is geared towards parents and caregivers of teenagers aged 13-17, registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), interested in becoming familiar with transition planning to adulthood. Discussion topics include: building independent-living skills, planning for future pathways, and navigating adult services in Ontario. Participants will be introduced to identifying individual goals to assist in developing transitions plans. Participants will leave with practical tools and resources. This webinar is led by an Autism Consultant or a Behaviour Therapist. Date: Monday November 30th, 2020 Time: 5:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. Cost: there is no cost to participate Register Exploring The Pathways Beyond The Teen Years will be delivered live via Zoom for Professionals and the following is required to participate: • Mobile Device, Tablet or Computer • An internet connection • Speakers and a microphone • A webcam Please Note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar. To be eligible, confirmation of OAP registration and completion of a Kerry's Place Autism Services' intake meeting and consent forms will be required. Foundational Family Services are available to persons under the age of 18, and their families, registered with the Ontario Autism Program. These services assist families in supporting their child’s learning and development. Notes: Cancellation Process: Cancelled by Kerry’s Place: Kerry’s Place may cancel a program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, participants will be notified as quickly as possible and attempts, within reason, will be made to help the attendee enroll in a new session. Cancelled by Supported Person/Family: For the purposes of effective planning, when possible, Kerry’s Place appreciates 5 business days’ notice of cancellation before the start of the workshop/training.

Adapted Gymnastics is a class for just adaptive athletes who have a broad spectrum of disabilities and severities. They will be partnered with a 2:1 coach.
Kerry's Place (FFS) - Autism: Beyond the Diagnosis - Online
This 2½-hour workshop teaches parents and caregivers strategies and tools to help their children and youth understand their diagnosis, using a strengths-based approach.
