Master Minds: A Virtual Homework Hub - FFS Interested in joining a homework hub? Do you want to learn how to stay organized? Let’s make homework fun. Join our homework hub and you will learn skills around time management, organization, motivation and problem solving. You will leave with tips and tricks for your homework and study needs. This Foundational Family Service (FFS) training is intended to provide persons with Autism Spectrum Disoder (ASD), aged 13-17, who are registered in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), information regarding strategies to support homework completion and study skills. Thursday evenings (November 26th - December 17th) 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Register Depending on the person’s skill level with technology, a mediator may be required to attend the session to assist as needed. This webinar is led by an Autism Consultant or a Behaviour Therapist. Master Minds: A Virtual Homework Hub will be delivered live via Zoom for Professionals and the following is required to participate: • Mobile Device, Tablet or Computer • An internet connection • Speakers and a microphone • A webcam Dates: Thursdays November 26th- December 17th, 2020 (4 sessions) Time: 6:00pm-7:00pm Ratio: 8 participants and 3 staff Cost: there is no cost to participate Please Note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar. To be eligible, confirmation of OAP registration and completion of a Kerry's Place Autism Services intake meeting and consent forms will be required. Foundational Family Services are available to persons under the age of 18, and their families, registered with the Ontario Autism Program. These services assist families in supporting their child’s learning and development. Notes: Cancellation Process: Cancelled by Kerry’s Place: Kerry’s Place may cancel a program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, participants will be notified as quickly as possible and attempts, within reason, will be made to help the attendee enroll in a new session. Cancelled by Supported Person/Family: For the purposes of effective planning, when possible, Kerry’s Place appreciates 5 business days’ notice of cancellation before the start of the workshop/training.
