Common characteristics of ASD, possible strengths, needs, learning styles and profiles of persons with ASD will be introduced as well as effective strategies to support your child or loved one.

Participants will be provided with an overview of the verbal and non-verbal communication concepts and strategies taught in the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® (NVCI-CPI) training program that can help in the support and care of family members, or people they support, with Autism Spectrum Disorder, both at home and in the community.
