Autism Services

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Diagnostic Hub

Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) is serving as the lead for the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Diagnostic Hub in Central region.  Additional funding provided by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) will help provide additional diagnostic assessments until March 2018.  This will help more children and families receive the diagnostic assessments

they need.

Central Region includes:

•    Simcoe
•    York
•    Dufferin
•    Halton
•    Peel
•    Waterloo
•    Wellington

CTN is working with partners in local communities to deliver diagnostic assessments. CTN, ErinoakKids, KidsAbility and Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Guelph Wellington will provide services locally.

If your child’s name is already on a waitlist for an ASD diagnostic assessment with one of these agencies, there is no further action required.
If your child’s name is NOT on a waitlist for an ASD diagnostic assessment, please contact the agency listed for your local region to get information about these services. These services do require a physician referral.

Ontario Autism Program

The new Ontario Autism Program (OAP) will ensure autism services for children and youth are delivered consistently across the province, allow for flexibility and choice based on each child’s needs, and give families confidence they are receiving quality services.  To learn more about the OAP and to register, contact central registration at Kinark Child and Family Services.

Kinark will register your child for the program. You will need to provide documentation of your child’s diagnosis of autism. Once your child is registered you will be contacted at a later date by either Kinark or Children’s Treatment Network  to complete the full intake process.
