So with the support of our partners from Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), CLASS, and Catulpa, we had a successful event with inclusive party fun, which included cupcake decorating, loot bags and a special magic show. More than 55 children and youth arrived with their families for the celebration of the year. After a brief welcome explaining that this was EVERYONE’S birthday party, excited party-goers sang "Happy Birthday to Everyone." Magical Duda did a spectacular magic show and kept everyone entertained for the entire half-hour he was performing. A great time was had by all, and parents said they were particularly grateful that their child/youth had experienced the fun of a sensory-friendly and inclusive party. The littlest guests left the party with smiles and a fun loot bag! Inclusive Party Activities included:
What a wonderful party! The magician was amazing and held all the kids attention for the whole show. My son was shaking his wheelchair with excitement. I don't think anyone left without a smile on their face!
