Do you love hockey, but aren’t the strongest skater, or able to skate at all? Have you ever seen or heard of sledge hockey and wanted to give it a try? Come out to R.J. Clatworthy Arena (2400 John Street in Markham/Richmond Hill) on Saturday October 13 at 9:30 AM and we will set you up! Bring your hockey gear, but if you don't have any, no worries, we have some equipment on hand. Islanders Sledge Hockey Club is welcoming anybody interested – regardless of your level of physical ability – to come try sledge and see if you’d like to join our team (yes, able-bodied players are welcome)! A few facts about our organization:
We currently have a junior/development squad and a competitive intermediate team, with roster spots still open (volunteers are welcome too).
