Autism Ontario York Region Annual Chapter Meeting followed by The ABCs of AACs for Kids and Teens Date: Monday May 28, 2018 Time: 6:30pm Location: Atrium, 11181 Yonge St, Richmond Hill (enter via glass doors at rear of building) Light Refreshments will be served The purpose of this meeting is to elect the 2018-2019 Chapter Leadership Council. 7:00pm - 9:00pm: The ABCs of AACs for Kids and Teens presented by CTN Come and learn about making augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) part of everyday life. You'll hear about some AAC tools, and learn about Children's Treatment Network Augmentative and Alternative Communication Services (CTN ACCS). Hands-on opportunities will be provided. Presenters: Sandy Sokol, CTN ACCS Speech and Language Pathologist and Cynthia Medeiros, CTN ACCS Communicative Disorders Assistant Sensory Alert: This meeting is being held in an open-air atrium on the ground floor of the building. There will be theatre-style seating. The lighting is largely ambient. There is a small adjacent area with tables which can be used for a quiet area.
