Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers|Children
A Literacy Group for Kids who use AAC provided by the Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) of Simcoe York’s Augmentative Communication Consultation Service in partnership with the Markham Public Library. Come join us for 90 minutes of winter themed fun including a story, songs, fun with letters and letter sounds, games and activities. Opportunities for talking with your child’s AAC tool will be incorporated into all activities. Children between ages 4 and 12 who use any kind of AAC system and are interested in sitting and listening to simple stories for at least 15 minutes. At least one parent/caregiver must attend and participate. Siblings are welcome, although they need to remain in the same room and be supervised by their parent/caregiver.
